Donald W. Kuykendall passed away Feb. 04, 2020, in Durant, Okla., at the age of 89.
Donald was born July 3, 1930, in Utica, Okla. to Theodore Monroe Kuykendall and Syble Birtis Barton.
Donald was a member of the Durant Masonic Lodge and the Durant Shriners. He also served in the United States Marine Corps. He was an outdoorsman who loved to garden, hunt and fish. Donald also enjoyed reading books.
Donald W. Kuykendall is survived by his children: Don Kuykendall Jr. and wife Melanie of Lake Tawakoni, Texas, Eric Kuykendall of Denison, Texas, James Kuykendall and wife Erin of Kingston, Okla., Kara Kuykendall of Durant, Okla.; sister, Loetta Short of Pottsboro, Texas; brothers: Travis Kuykendall and wife Pat of Shawnee, Okla. and Jerry Kuykendall and wife Barbara of Edinburgh, Texas; along with seven grandchildren: Mindy, Alyssa, Trey, Ryleigh, Wade, Dylan and Devin.
Donald was preceded in death by parents, Roe and Syble Kuykendall; brothers: William Glen Kuykendall, Clovis Alexander Kuykendall, Alvin Monroe Kuykendall; sisters: Jane Farrell, and Faye Childers; also the mother of his children (Eric and Don Kuykendall) Shirley Kuykendall.
Visitation for Mr. Kuykendall will be Friday, Feb. 7, 2020, from 6-7 p.m. at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home, 121 N. Fifth Ave. in Durant.
Funeral services for Donald W. Kuykendall will be held on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020, 10 a.m. at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Okla. with Wayne Sampson officiating. Interment will be following at Rosehill Cemetery in Calera, Oklahoma with Kerry Robinson, Dave Tomlinson, Chad Sampson, Joe Hammond.
