Mickey Long, of Durant, Okla., passed from this life on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020 in Durant, Okla. at the age of 56. He was born on Monday, June 24, 1963 in Midwest City, Okla. to Billy Don and Eva Sue (Robertson) Long.
Mickey was a longtime resident of Bryan County. He enjoyed playing banjo, hunting, fishing and solving puzzles.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and father, Billy Don Long.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Long of the home; mother, Sue Long of Broken Bow, Okla.; daughters: Stephanie Griffin and husband Seth of Cisco, Texas, Rebecca Edrington and husband Aaron of Humble, Texas; son, Joshua Long and wife Amber of Brownwood, Texas; grandsons: Tristian Griffin of Cisco, Texas, Gryder Griffin of Cisco, Texas, Joseph Edrington of Humble, Texas, Hagen Long of Brownwood, Texas; granddaughters: Hailey Sledge of Brownwood, Texas, Harmony Long of Brownwood, Texas; brother Donnie Long and wife Sheila of Durant, Okla.; sister, Sheila Timberlake of Calera, Okla. as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020 at the Monterey Chapel at 224 S. Ninth Ave. in Durant, with Bruce Long officiating. Jerry Long, Bruce Long, Donnie Long and Bert Collins will serve as pallbearers. A graveside service will follow at the Sobol Cemetery in Sobol, Okla.
