Christine Ellis Lee, of Calera, Okla., passed from this life on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020 in Durant, Okla. at the age of 68. She was born on Saturday, Jan. 5, 1952 in Madill, Okla. to Walter William and Artie Mae (Hammonds) Ellis.
Christine was a proud member of the U.S. Air Force. She was passionate about her military service. She was of the Christian faith. Her life consisted of surrounding herself with her family and especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Patricia “Pat” Lee; grandsons: Anthony Arterberry and Jeremy Arterberry; brothers: Herby Ellis, Wendell Ellis, Randall Ellis, Virgil Ellis, Oscar Ellis, Arthur Ellis; and sisters: Flo Ellis, Dorothy Hammonds, Iola Hammonds, Ruby Mole, Donni Wolf, Corrine Been; husband, Tommy Lee; adopted parents, Virgil and Florine Ellis
She is survived by her sons: Michael Ellis of Durant, Okla., William Hutton and wife Hillary of Madill, Okla.; daughters: Christine Arterberry and husband Leon of Kingston, Okla., Sandra Wolfe and husband David of Madill, Okla.; grandsons: Douglas Ellis of Durant, Okla., Jacob Ellis of Durant, Okla., Jacob Lamar of Ringling, Okla., William Hutton of Madill, Okla., Ryder Hutton of Madill, Okla., Bryon Wolfe of Madill, Okla., Robert Davis and wife Latoya of Tishomingo, Okla., Dylan Davis, Madill, Okla.; granddaughters: Zoey Shelton and husband John of Bokchito, Okla., Trinity Lamar of Ringling, Okla., Kira Hutton of Tishomingo, Okla., Clara Hutton of Tishomingo, Okla., Emma Hutton of Madill, Okla., Gina Arterberry of Durant, Okla., Diana Biswell and husband Rocky of Oklahoma City, Okla., Wendy Laymon and husband Gary of Durant, Okla.; great-grandsons: Trenton Smith of Durant, Okla., Luke Biswell of Oklahoma City, Okla., Logan Biswell of Oklahoma City, Okla., Jaiden Bobbitt of Durant, Okla., William Smith of Madill, Okla., Taylor Bobbitt of Durant, Okla., Gary Laymon of Durant, Okla., Casey Laymon of Durant, Okla., Dominique Davis of Tishomingo, Okla.; great-granddaughters: Opal Shelton of Bokchito, Okla., Mikayla Wilkerson and husband Robert of Durant, Okla., Tiara Smith of Durant, Okla., Abby Laymon of Durant, Okla., Kassidy Davis of Tishomingo, Okla.; great-great-grandsons: Jermey Wilkerson of Durant, Okla., Austin Wickerson of Durant, Okla., Dawson Wilkerson of Durant, Okla.; great-great-granddaughters: Paisley Wilkerson of Durant, Okla., Shayla Wilkerson of Durant, Okla.; brothers: Leroy Ellis of Madill, Okla., Carl Ellis of Shepherd, Texas; sisters: Francis Hensley of Georgetown, Texas, Linda Hooks of Stinnett, Texas, Patsy Harvey of New Braunfels, Texas, Wilma Lamb of Calera, Okla. as well as other numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
A Memorial Service was held Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2020 at the Monterey Chapel in Durant with Michael Ellis and Bro. Brent Smith officiating.
