Sharon Leigh Wilson, 68, of Colbert, Okla. passed away Thursday, Dec. 26, 2019 at Alliance Health in Durant, Okla. She was born Feb. 20, 1951, in Dallas, Texas to Calvin and Emma Jean Brown Parrish.
Sharon was educated in Colbert schools and lived in Colbert most of her life and was of the Methodist faith. She married Paul Wilson on Sept. 24, 1966, in Ponca City, Okla. He preceded her in death in 2001.
She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her kids and grandkids and liked to read and do puzzles along with fishing and crawdad hunting.
Preceding in death were her father and brothers, Lesley and Eddie Lynn Parrish.
She is survived by three daughters: Kimberly Merck and husband Jake of Antlers, Okla., Stacey Wilson and Cassandra Smith and husband Michael all of Colbert, Okla.; four grandchildren: Shelby Gibby, Jonathan Merck and wife Savannah, Zach Merck and wife Callie and Nicholas Merck and wife Stephanie; seven great-grandchildren: Brylee, Braelyn, Jaylee, Rhett, Connor, Trenton and Leeam; sisters: Cindy Riggs of Colbert, Okla., Susan Bartley of Denison, Texas, and Beverly McDonald of Bonham, Texas; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service for Sharon Leigh Wilson will be held at 1 p.m. at the Garden of Memory Cemetery in Colbert, Okla. on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2019, with Pastor Troy Phillips officiating. Family night will be held from 6-7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 30 at Cunningham Funeral Home.
