Dayle moved to Bryan County 24 years ago from Dallas, Texas and worked as a truck driver for Hausner’s Storm Shelters for many years. He was a member of the Scorpion Motorcycle Club in Dallas and he enjoyed fishing, watching movies and wrestling, collecting guns and knives, camping and truck driving. Dayle dearly loved his family and friends.
He is survived by his children: Janie Smother and husband Seth, Jeri McGinty, Dustin Trautman, Darrien Trautman, Regina Davis, Leslie Davis and wife Christine, Thomas Trautman and wife Jamie, Destiny Trautman, Harmony Trautman, Jacob Trautman and Virginia Torres and husband Donny; ex-wife Sandra Trautman; sisters: Sandra Ladd and husband Lester and Ruth Trautman; brother, Steven Trautman; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way.
Dayle was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Frederick and Larry Trautman and sisters, Linda Slapnicka and Betty Witherwax.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, 2019 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Pastor Heath Oliver will officiate. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera with Ricky Davis, Leslie Davis, Thomas Trautman, Greg Mitchell, Caleb Mitchell and Toby Garner serving as pallbearers.
