The Durant Education and Service Sorority is looking forward to their largest fundraising effort – the Parade of Homes! The Parade of Homes will take place on Sunday, Dec. 4. Homes on the tour will be open for viewing from 1-5 p.m.

In conjunction with the Parade of Homes, there will be a gift show at Lost Street Brewing Company, 109 Lost Street, from 12-5 p.m., with booths featuring beauty products, home decor, clothing and more, as well as dance performances by Axis Dance Co.!

Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. They can be purchased from any DESS member, as well as at Bliss Boutique, Marie’s, The Medicine Store, Hot Shots and Koper Kettle. Money raised from this event goes directly back into Bryan County via a Southeastern scholarship, donations to county schools, J127 Ministry, the Pregnancy Center of Bryan County, the Oklahoma Shakespearean Festival, and several other local philanthropies.

The second home to be featured on the 2022 tour is located at 1413 San Angelo Lane in Durant, in the Terra Bella II neighborhood. Tyler and Kaci Watson are the owners of the home and they live there with their son, Theo, and Kaci’s parents, Dale and Carolyn Dills. Tyler is the brand manager for Grandpappy Point Marina and Kaci is a risk specialist in the risk department of the legal division at Choctaw Nation.

The Craftsman style home was just completed in March 2022. It is approximately 2,975 square feet, with four bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms and a bonus room. The home also features a home office and prep pantry. Tyler, Kaci and their family are enjoying settling into the home and into the neighborhood where they are often seen riding bikes or walking their dog, Winston. Their home has many welcoming and cozy elements, including a family piano in the dining room and vintage China dishes on display, as well as paintings by Kaci’s mother and trinkets from Kaci’s father’s shop.
