Three injured in one-car accident outside Bokchito on Wednesday

BRYAN COUNTY – Two children were taken by Air-Evac to Dallas following a single-vehicle accident in Bryan County on Wednesday morning.

Tia Davis, 28 of Armstrong, was driving a 2011 Ford southbound on a county road at about 7:11 a.m. at a high rate of speed, according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The vehicle departed the roadway to the right and struck a concrete bridge railing. The accident took place 5 miles north and 4 miles west of Bokchito.

Davis was transported by Bryan County EMS to Alliance Health Center in Durant with leg injuries, where she was listed in stable condition.

Three passengers were in the vehicle, but names were not released.

An 8-year-old boy was transported by Air-Evac to Medical City Hospital  of Dallas with head, external trunk and internal trunk injuries and listed in stable condition. A 5-year-old girl was also transported by Air-Evac to Medical City Hospital with head injuries and listed in stable condition. A 2-year-old girl was not injured.

Seat belts were equipped and in use by all, according to the report.

The OHP was assisted in the investigation by the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office, Bryan County Fire Department and EMS, and Caddo and Bokchito Fire Departments.
