OKLAHOMA CITY – The Silo Rebel baseball team was honored Wednesday with a trip to Oklahoma City to be recognized by the Oklahoma State Senate.

Senator David Bullard welcomed the Coach Billy Jack Bowen and his team to the State Capitol.

“It was my great privilege to acknowledge a quality team to the Senate this afternoon,” Bullard said. “Coach Bowen has not just taught baseball but an approach to life.  That hard work, focus, and grit go a long way to success.  I am proud of my Silo Rebels.  Good job men!”

The Rebels finished the season undefeated – the first state championship team to do that since Latta in 2001, according to Prep Nation.

Silo has a 49-game winning streak, has won 66 of the last 67 games and is 95-5 during the last three seasons. The Rebels have earned 15 state titles in the last 17 years, and have now won three in a row, following championships in Spring 2018 and Fall 2018.
