Rebecca Mullens Lester, a cherished wife, mother and grandmother, passed from this life in Denison, Texas on Friday, Oct. 12, 2018 at the age of 61. She was born in Pleasant Hill, Okla. to Edly Hershel Mullens and Dorothy Francis (Paddock) Mullens on July 30, 1956. Rebecca married Gary Lester in Searcy, Ark. on Feb. 9, 1999.
Rebecca was a truck driver by trade. She was very creative and loved to paint, and do arts and crafts. Rebecca had a compassionate nature that led her to always help others. She loved her family with all her heart.
Mrs. Lester is survived by her beloved husband, Gary of the home; daughter, Misty Polson of Armstrong, Okla.; son, Rickey Shawn Buchanan of Durant, Okla.; sister, Delphia Corbett of Armstrong, Okla., and brother, BJ Mullens of Armstrong, Okla.; and four grandchildren.
Mrs. Lester was preceded in death by her parents, Edly and Dorothy Mullens; brothers, Jerald Mullens, William Edly Mullens, and Jerry Paul Mullens; sisters, Mozel Brockhouse, Dora Dean Kennedy, and Doris Ann Percell.
Family hour will be from 7-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018 at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Armstrong with Bro. Monty Woods officiating.
