The Oklahoma Shakespearean Festival is releasing its 2018 season and gets the list started with the Children’s Theatre production.

The youngest OSF actors will be performing “Alice in Wonderland” next summer.

Riley Coker, Producing Director of OSF, said she was happy about bringing back a show for the children that was last done here in 2007.

“We’re so excited to announce that our Children’s Theatre Workshop Production for 2018 is going to be ‘Alice in Wonderland’,” Coker said. “Alice in Wonderland hasn’t been performed here since Jenna McWilliams was our Alice, and we’re very glad that now she’s one of our professional actors coming back as a legacy.”

Alice in Wonderland is one of seven productions set for the summer of 2018, with two additional shows that will be performed at the Magnolia Festival.

Parents can already mark their calendars to prepare for the upcoming season.

“We’ll have two big audition days on Friday, Mar. 2, 4-6 p.m., and Saturday, Mar. 3, 10a.m.-noon,” Coker said. “If you want to go ahead and sign your child up, we can take registration anytime. But the children really need to go through the audition process. It’s part of what we do.

“They come to us on Monday, June 4 and work Monday through Friday from 1-3 p.m. and then perform that last weekend.”

The performance dates are June 29, June 30 and July 1, 2018.
