One killed, two injured in wreck outside Colbert

COLBERT – One person was killed and two were injured in a one-vehicle accident in Bryan County on Monday afternoon.

Dustin Hoedebeck, 20, of Colbert, was taken from the scene of the accident to Texoma Medical Center in Denison with numerous injuries, according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. He was pronounced dead on arrival.

The report stated that a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Mason Geter, 18, of Cartwright was traveling eastbound on Oklahoma State Highway 91 at about 2:11 p.m. and departed the right side of roadway, struck the ditch and overturned an unknown amount of times, coming to rest on its top.

Hoedebeck, along with Zachary Lovelace, 18, of Colbert, were passengers in the vehicle.

All occupants were ejected an unknown distance.

Geter was admitted into Texoma Medical Center with head, trunk and leg injuries. Lovelace was treated for head and trunk injuries at TMC and released.

The cause of the accident was still under investigation at the time of the report and none of the occupants were wearing seat belts, according to the report.
