One flown by Air Evac from dirt bike accident

BRYAN COUNTY – One person was transported by air from a two-vehicle accident in Bryan County on Tuesday.

Chelsea Betts, of Sulphur, was driving a 2013 Ford south on Willow Springs Road southwest  of Durant when she turned left in front of a northbound dirt bike, driven by Christian Sharp, of Mead, according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Sharp was flown by Air Evac to Medical Center Hospital in Plano, Texas, in critical condition with head, arm, trunk internal and leg injuries.

Betts refused treatment for minor arm injury. Her seatbelt was equipped and in use.

Sharp was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision, according to the report.

The OHP was assisted in this investigation by the Bryan County EMS and the West Bryan County Fire Department.
