OHAI to host health forum: “Your Health, Your Future, Your Plan”

The Oklahoma Healthy Aging Initiative (OHAI) will be sponsoring a regional health event for older adults, family caregivers, and health professionals entitled “Your Health, Your Future, Your Plan.”

Experts will be presenting topics important to older adults, family caregivers, and health professionals:  Older Driver Safety—Laws, Medical Issues, and Safety Concerns; Eyeball 101Opioids:  What You Need to Know.  These presentations are made possible by a grant from the from the Oklahoma Highway Safety Office, funding from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, and the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center; Oklahoma Primary Care Improvement Cooperative; Do No Harm: Pain and Opioid Management (POM) project, respectively.

The seminar will be from 9 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2018 at the Donald W. Reynolds Library & Community Center located at 1515 West Main Street in Durant.  Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.

Speakers for the event include:  Dr. Imran Plumb, Alliance Health Durant; Dr. Steven Crawford, University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center College of Medicine; Captain Eric Cannaday, Oklahoma Highway Patrol; Michael Maxwell, Education Specialist, OHAI; Cindy Ruhl, Education Specialist, OHAI; and Kathy Fuss-Gooding, Education Director, OHAI.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided by AllianceHealth Durant.
