Lillian Geraldine “Jerry” Foster

Lillian Geraldine “Jerry” Foster of Milburn, OK passed away Thursday, Feb. 21, 2019 in Durant, Okla. at the age of 85. She was born in Connerville, Okla. on Nov. 25, 1933 to Claud C. Lambert and Stella (Arles) Lambert.

Jerry was a longtime resident of Milburn. In her childhood, she attended Pontotoc, Connerville, and Randlett Schools. She married Gerald Green in 1950 and they had three children together. Gerald preceded her in death in 2014.

The couple traveled around the country together working for John Vandenburg American Fence Company later to open their own Fence company in different areas. She spent several years installing fence and waitressing. Jerry was raised in the Pentecostal church and later joined Milburn Baptist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting, fishing, crocheting, and spending time with her family, especially her children.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Green; daughter, Shirley Land; parents; two granddaughters Connie and Kathy Land and two brothers.

Survivors include her two sons, “JR” Green and wife Brenda of Tishomingo, Okla.; Donald Green of Milburn, Okla.; grandchildren, Kenya Meacham of Wichita Falls, Texas, Karon Williams of Kingston, Okla., Kellie Marsh of Henrietta, Texas, Hilda Ness of Gatesville, Texas, DJ Green of Burkburnett, Texas, Crystal Green of Burkburnett, Texas, David L. Green of Pennsylvania, James David Green of Tishomingo, Okla., Melissa Curry of Tishomingo, Okla. and April Green of Sulphur, Okla.; sisters-in-law, Mozelle Drinnon of Milburn, Okla. and Ruth Fay Purvis of Muscle Schoals, Ala.; brother-in-law, Junior Green and wife Berta of Hobbs, N.M. along with many great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, extended family members and dear friends.

A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25, 2019 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel in Durant.
