Laura Collins

Laura Kay Collins of Durant, Okla., beloved mother and Nana passed from this life on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at the age of 63. She was born on Sept. 12, 1955 to Bailey and Willie Mae (Newell) McPherson in Durant.

Laura married the love of her life Thomas “Tom” Collins in Durant, Oklahoma on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 1981.
She was of the Baptist Faith. She was a med aide and live-in caregiver for most of her life; she was always caring for and loving others. She loved her friends and family, and was fortunate enough to have a special bond with her oldest grandson, “Mohawk”.

She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Collins; parents Bailey and Willie Mae McPherson and brothers Larry West and Calvin McPherson.

She was survived by her son, Michael D. Miller and wife Amanda of Kemp, Okla.; daughters Kristy Collins, Barbara Higgins, Lisa Erti of Worcester, Mass.; sister, Nita Holcombe of Cullman, Ala.; grandchildren: Michael A. Miller, Zackery Miller, Joey Sheffield of Durant, Okla., Alivia Sheffield of Shawnee, Okla., Alexis Marquez, Brandon Vancelette, Alyvia Vancelette, Marcus Vancelette, Maddux Vancelette, Ashley Ert, Breanna Phelan and Jacob Phelan all of Worcester, Mass..

Family and friends visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m., Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Gordon Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Thrusday, June 27, 2019 at the Bokchito Cemetery.
Joey Sheffield, Rustin Sullivan, Roger Hamill and Benny Robison will serve as pallbearers and Bro. Tommy Green will officiate.

    How is it that just anybody can create a weblog and get as popular as this? Its not like youve said something extremely impressive more like youve painted a quite picture over an issue that you know nothing about! I dont want to sound mean, here.
