Juanita Lynn White, of Durant, Okla., passed from this life on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019 at the age of 57. She was born on Saturday, Sept. 23, 1961 to Freddy Oneal and Onie Ruth (Fry) Pendleton.

She was a resident of the Bryan County area for the past 15 years. She worked for Aspire hospice as a nurse. Nita enjoyed going on vacation with her friends and family and doing things for her son, Colton, and all of his friends. She was an extended mom to all of them and their time together was her greatest joy. Nita was a hard-core band mom for many years. She was most proud that her son Colton made the decision to follow in her footsteps and pursue a career in nursing. She wanted to tell that to anyone who would listen. She had a joyous smile on her face each time she told someone.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents and mother, Onie Ruth Pendleton.

Survivors include her son Colton White of Durant; father Freddy Pendleton and wife Gladys of Mabank, Texas; brothers: Glen Pendleton and wife Thresa of Omaha, Neb., James Pendleton and wife Kirsten of Jensen Beach, Fla.; ex-husband Orval Ray White of Coleman, Okla. as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A family visitation will be held Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at Gordon Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the Monterey Chapel, 224 S. 9th St. in Durant. Interment will be at 4 p.m. on Wednesday at the Haven of Memories Cemetery in Canton, Texas.

Dr. Freddy Pendleton and Rev. James Pendleton will be officiating. Colton White, Stephen Marcum, Payton Brewer, Morgan Wilkes, Nate Smiley and Skylar Stout will serve as pallbearers.
