Jimmy Neal Barcheers, 81, of Thackerville, Okla. passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019. He was born June 6, 1937 in Durant, Okla., the son of Jimmy L. Barcheers and Lois Green Barcheers.
A resident of Love County since 1981, previously living in Plainview, Texas, Jimmy was an owner/operator of semi-trucks. He married Ardelia Oldham Barcheers in Crosbyton, Texas on April 14, 1956. Jimmy enjoyed tinkering on old tractors and equipment, he was referred to as “a junker” and he also enjoyed fishing. He was a very caring family man who loved visiting and talking with people. Jimmy was of the Baptist faith.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; one grandchild, five brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife Ardelia, of the home; two sons, Jimmy Lynn Barcheers and wife Debbi of Thackerville and Timothy E. Barcheers and wife Crystal of Lone Oak, Texas; one daughter, Vivian Vinson and husband Mark of Thackerville; one brother, Gary Barcheers and wife Pam of Van Alstyne, Texas; two sisters, Eva Neil and husband Junior of Van Alstyne and Sharron Blount of Plano, Texas; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Cremation was under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Marietta, Okla.
