Charles Melton Price, of Durant, Okla., passed from this life on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the age of 74 . He was born on Sunday, August 20, 1944 in Lubbock, Texas to Norman Douglas and Emma Evelyn (Montgomery) Price.

He moved to Durant from Lubbock in 1976. He retired from Reeddrill after a 35-year career. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, watching sports and Texas Tech, playing freecell and coin collecting. He served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Price often went to the Dandy Donut and most of all he loved spending time with his family and watching his grandkids and great grandkids play sports.

He married Cynthia Ladale White in Lubbock, Texas on November 22, 1968.

He was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws Pearl and Pickle White; daughter Cindy Price and niece Brandi Turner.

Survivors include his wife Ladale Price of the home; daughters: Carrie Green of West Des Moines, Iowa, Christa Claxton of Durant, Okla.; grandchildren: Geoffery Ashby and girlfriend Brandy Edwards, Kirsten Harrison and husband Grady, Michael Green, Ashley Green, Dylan Claxton and girlfriend Haylee Gibson, Rylee Claxton; great-grandchildren: Hatcher Harrison, Porter Harrison, baby Harrison on the way, Everly Edwards, River Ashby, baby Fynlee Claxton on the way; sisters: Delores Hettler and husband
Terry of Denton, Texas, Marie McNeill and husband James of Bastrop, Texas, Norma Coventry of Lubbock, Texas and brother Loyd Price and wife Sandy of Ralls, Texas.

A family hour will be held from 6-7 p.m., Friday, March 15, at Gordon Funeral Home, 221 N. Third Ave. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the Monterey Chapel, 224 S. Ninth Ave. in Durant.

Bro. John Heath will be officiating. Kane Lovelace, Joey Collins, Shane Shockey, Dale White, Grady Harrison, Geoff Ashby and Dylan Claxton will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Thompson, David Turner, Michael Green, Brandie Hyde and Marvin Royal.
