Beverly Ann (Dunn) Nugent of Durant passed from this life on Monday, Oct. 15, 2018 at the age of 73. She was born on Wednesday, April 18, 1945 in Stuart, Okla., to Doyal J. and Ina Vee (Derryberry) Dunn.
She married Jay Nugent in Grand Prairie, Texas. She moved back to Bryan County from Grand Prairie in 2012. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Durant. She was a graduate of Calera High School. She retired from Salvation Army Headquarters in Dallas. She enjoyed shopping and decorating. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in February 2013; son Richard Scalf; and sister Guin Houser.
She is survived by her son Stacey Scalf of Durant; Special Son Mike McCormick; Stepdaughters Kim Anderson of Austin, Texas, Jacque Hook of Austin; Granddaughter Mackylie Scalf of North Carolina; Sister Carolyn Row and husband Odis of Calera, Okla.; Brother-in-Law Charles Houser of Milburn, Okla.; Nieces Cindy Parks and husband Gerald of Calera, Lisa Lake of Denison, Texas, Carrie Jones and husband Roy of Calera; Nephew Greg Burkhalter and wife Holly of Calera; Great nieces Karla Speer and husband Chad of Calera, Kelli Teafatiller and husband Rickey of Calera, Terri Pratt of Calera, Brooke Sinor and husband Chance of Calera; Grand nephews Patrick Lake and wife Brittany of Durant, Hunter Burkhalter of Calera; and Aunt Joan Henslee of Denison, Texas.
