Amos Taylor, Jr.

Amos Taylor Jr. entered the Gates of Heaven on Nov. 8, 2018. Amos was born on Jan. 11, 1945 in Durant, Oklahoma to Amos and Agnes Tubbee Taylor Sr.

Amos has been a life long resident of the Texoma area. He married Edna Gibson on June 18, 1966. They were united as one for 52 years and were blessed with three children. He worked as a fork lift operator until his retirement and he was a proud member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. Amos was a devoted member of Grace Indian Baptist Church and he deeply loved his Lord and Savior.

Amos was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Mindi Brock and brothers, Harold and Geno Taylor.

Amos is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Edna Taylor; children, Mildred Taylor, Billy Taylor and wife Joanna and Monty Taylor and wife Sara; grandchildren, Penny Bechthold, Manda Esparza and husband Noel, Brandon, Coby, Peyton and Skylar Taylor, Avery Enochs and Taylor Bumgardner; great grandchildren, Madison, Rameigh and Leilanie Brock, Adriana and Amelia Esparza and Chase and Beau Bumgardner; brothers, Jerry, Johnny, Daryl and Randy Taylor and sisters, Nancy Wallace and Barbara Morgan.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, 2018 at Grace Indian Baptist Church. Pastor Wayne Bailey will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be Rich Taylor, Ringbird Taylor, Kelly Taylor, Craig Taylor, Rylee Martinez and Lance Taylor. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
