DURANT – On the Thursday following Easter, Abundant Life Texoma will host a Passover Seder.

News presented by First United Bank.

Set for Apr. 5 at 6:30 p.m., the event will take place in the church annex. Ron and Sandy Tiso from Carrollton, Texas, will be presenting the Seder.

A seder, pronounced sā-dər, is a festive holiday meal or feast.

Chuck Barrineau, pastor at ALT, said the event should make for an enjoyable evening, in which people could learn things as well.

“We’ve got a couple coming in from the Dallas area,” Barrineau said. “They’re going to be teaching the implications from a Jewish standpoint, but also what it means to us as Christians. So we’re going to get to experience the culture of what they went through and what many still continue to go through.”

Everyone is invited, but the seating is limited and will be available on a first come, first-served basis. There will be a charge of $10 for adults to cover the cost of the event and children under 12 will be admitted for free.
